Earl Mentor is the founder and director of MPBSA. He have been actively involved in peacebuilding work for the last 18 years providing his expertise and injecting his passion into each of our peacebuilding projects.

Has 25 years of experience with youth, starting with those living on the streets, to youth at risk attending juvenile courts, and those in their communities facing social ills. He has spent the past 14 years involved in NGO governance advisory, and is a security and risk management specialist in the corporate sector for the past 22 years

Shona Mentor is a youth development practitioner, facilitator, counsellor-in-training, and Co-Founder of Mentoring PeaceBuilders South Africa and serves as the PeaceJam Africa Youth Team Coordinator. She is also the founder of a Young Women’s Programme, established in 2017, which focuses on creating supportive spaces for young women to grow, connect, and develop confidence in themselves and their futures. With several years of experience in youth development, Shona’s work centres on mentorship, youth leadership, peacebuilding, women’s empowerment, and community development. She is passionate about creating spaces where young people and women feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to recognise their own strengths. Currently completing her studies in Counselling and Communication, Shona brings together her experience in facilitation, mentoring, leadership, and counselling. Her work is grounded in empathy, respect, resilience, and a strong belief that we can all play a role in creating positive change within ourselves and our communities.
